Officers also closed off a road near the hospital for most of Saturday morning.
Deputy Fire Chief, Bill Clark told CBC a white substance was found when security officials checked the man's backpack.

No one was hurt in the incident.
The man is facing charges of mischief endangering life, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and causing a disturbance.
