A 33-year-old man died after the snowmobile he was on crashed into a tree in Manitoba's Interlake area.
It happened on Jan. 17 at about 1:30 a.m in the Rural Municipality of Grahamdale, just north of the town of Ashern, according to RCMP.
Two men were riding snowmobiles on a trail when the machines went off at a curve and hit trees.
The 33-year-old man, from Ashern, was rushed to hospital but died from his injuries, police said. The other driver, a 38-year-old man from Moosehorn, was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both men were wearing helmets and alcohol is not considered a factor, police said.
No further information is available.
Police continue to investigate.
