RCMP in northern Manitoba say they are treating the death of a 15-year-old girl in Gods Lake Narrows earlier this week as a homicide.
The body of Leah Anderson, a member of the Gods Lake Narrows First Nation, was found Sunday "at an outdoor location" on the reserve, according to police.
An autopsy has been completed, and investigators are treating the teen's death as a homicide, RCMP said in a release late Friday.
Police did not give any further details. The investigation continues.
The community of Gods Lake Narrows, which is accessible mainly by air, is located 550 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg in northern Manitoba.
