Motorists encountered ice-slicked roads and blowing snow across much of southern Manitoba late Tuesday.
In Winnipeg, RCMP warned motorists that the entire Perimeter Highway was slippery on Tuesday afternoon.
Several vehicles slipped into the ditch on the Perimeter near Brady Road during the supper hour. Many of the affected vehicles were heading eastbound on the highway.
A number of other collisions and rollovers were reported during the rush hour, including a semi-trailer rollover on Highway 1 west of Headingley and a three-vehicle collision on Highway 8 south of Gimli.
Eight cars were in the ditch just north of the Perimeter at Highway 8, and a number of vehicles slid into ditches on Highway 1 east, between Deacon's Corner and the turnoff at Steinbach, and on Highway 59 north of Île-des-Chênes.
Some collisions were also reported within the city of Winnipeg
Blowing snow on Tuesday afternoon reduced visibility on some roads outside the city.
Motorists have been advised to check the province's highway conditions website for updated details.
