RCMP are looking for suspects in an armed robbery at a business in Steinbach, Man., on Thursday afternoon.
A man dressed in black and wearing a balaclava went into the business on First Street sometime around 4 p.m. CT and pointed a long-barrelled firearm at the owner, according to police.
The suspect demanded money from the business's cash register and safe. RCMP say he then took the cash and ran to a pickup truck that was waiting nearby.
The truck had circled the area for some time before the robbery took place, police said in a news release.
No one was hurt in the incident.
RCMP describe the suspect as a slim man in his early 20s, about five feet 10 inches in height and carrying a black rifle or shotgun.
The vehicle is described as a red single-cab 1996 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck with no tail gate and a lot of rust. The driver of the vehicle was seen wearing a balaclava as well.
Police say further investigation suggested the truck may have been stolen earlier on Thursday from the town of Morris, Man.
Anyone who sees the robbery suspects is urged not to approach them, as they might be armed and dangerous, RCMP warn.
Those who may have information about the incident is asked to call Steinbach RCMP at (204) 326-1234 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 780-TIPS (8477).
