Slick roads lead to crashes, rollovers in Winnipeg

Slippery roads led to several crashes and rollovers around Winnipeg on Friday, particularly on the Perimeter Highway.
There were rollovers on the North Perimeter between Main and McPhillips streets, on Lagimodiere Boulevard near Maginot Street, and the South Perimeter at Brady Road.
Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash on the South Perimeter at St. Mary's Road as well as at Ellice Avenue and Milt Stegall Drive, while one car went into the ditch at St. Anne's Road and the South Perimeter.
In another crash, at Wilkes Avenue and Charleswood Road, emergency crews had to cut sections of the vehicle away to free the driver.
There has been no information on the extent of injuries in any of those crashes.
One person was taken to the hospital in unstable condition after a crash at Grosvenor Avenue and Harrow Street while a woman was also sent to hospital after being hit by a vehicle at the corner of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street.
