A 21-year-old woman is facing a homicide charge after a 24-year-old woman died from stab wounds suffered earlier this month in Winnipeg.
It happened in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue at about 2 a.m. on Dec. 2.
Police found the 24-year-old woman, identified as Samantha Cherish Anderson, suffering from serious upper body injuries and she was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
She recently died from the injuries, police said.
Anderson's death is the city's 30th homicide of the year.
A 17-year-old girl also sustained minor injuries.
Shayla Elyshia June Woodford, 21, had previously been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and several breaches of probation.
She is now facing an additional charge of homicide.
