Woman recovering after being stabbed by sister, police say

Winnipeg police have arrested a 17-year-old girl after a 21-year-old woman was seriously stabbed Friday night. (CBC )
A 21-year-old woman is in hospital in stable condition after she was stabbed at a Winnipeg home Friday night.
It happened on the 900 block of Lipton Street at about 8 p.m.
When officers arrived at the home they found a 21-year-old woman with serious stab wounds and who had been physically assaulted.
Police said the 21-year-old had a verbal dispute with her 17-year-old sister, which escalated, resulting in the stabbing.
The home was full of people at the time, police said.
The injured woman was taken to hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable condition.
The 17-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault, assault and uttering of threats to cause death or bodily harm.
