The search for a missing Winnipeg man continues today, but with snow in the forecast, there are concerns that any sign of Brad Lambert's whereabouts might be covered.

Lambert, 46, was last seen last Thursday in the Marchand area, on his way to go deer hunting in southeastern Manitoba. He was reported missing over the weekend, after he failed to show up for a shift at work.

Sgt. Rod Karpish, who is leading the RCMP search for Lambert, said on Wednesday that 15 searchers have been looking for the man's Ford F-150 pickup truck in the area of the Sandilands Provincial Forest. An air search is also underway.

"We are patrolling the roads in four-by-fours and we're checking all trails that were accessed in this area," Karpish said.

"Any trails that have been driven down by either a vehicle or a quad are being checked, pretty much from Marchand to the Ontario border, " he added.

Karpish said the hope is to get as much area covered Wednesday as possible before the weather turns colder Thursday and fresh snow obscures any tracks.

"Right now, we're still searching for fresh tracks. Fresh snow means that if we don't cover off the trails today, we'll have to go down trails tomorrow that today we would've known there was no one down there [but] tomorrow, we may not know that," he said.

Lambert's friends and family members have been conducting ground searches for him since Sunday.
