Winnipeg Jets captain Andrew Ladd and L.A. Kings centre Mike Richards hosted the friendly ball hockey match, which began shortly after 4 p.m. CT.
Ladd and Richards are heading up their own teams, which are playing until one squad scores five points, the CBC's Alana Cole reported at 4:30 p.m.
The two NHLers tweeted about the game earlier in the day, encouraging the public to suit up and join them on the parkade roof.

Richards, from Kenora, Ont., won the Stanley Cup in June 11 with the Kings.

Ladd and fellow Winnipeg Jet Mark Stuart are helping to organize a charity hockey game, slated for Saturday, at the University of Manitoba's Max Bell Centre.
