Fire forces Winnipeg high school evacuation

Classes at John Taylor Collegiate have been cancelled for Wednesday, after a minor fire forced the evacuation of the Winnipeg high school on Tuesday.
The fire broke out in a storage room at about 9 a.m. CT and spread smoke through much of the collegiate just as classes began.
All 700 students and staff got out safely but due to the lingering smoke. The students were taken to neighbouring Hedges Middle School and Buchanan School.
Classes were cancelled for the rest of Tuesday. School officials say classes will also be cancelled on Wednesday.
