Evander Kane is the first locked-out NHLer from Canada to commit to the KHL.
The Winnipeg Jets forward has signed on with Dinamo Minsk, according to a release on the team's website.
Kane is coming off his best NHL season with 30 goals and 57 points.
The 21-year-old from Vancouver jumped straight to the NHL after being drafted fourth overall by Atlanta in 2009 and has represented Canada at the last three IIHF World Hockey Championships.
In 213 career NHL games, he has 63 goals and 126 points.
Kane signed a US$31.5-million, six-year extension with the Jets just before the lockout came into effect on Sept. 15.
