Winnipeg police were called to two reports of shots fired overnight in homes in the city's north and west ends.

400 block of Toronto Street, Winnipeg

Officers called just after 11 p.m. CT Tuesday to the 800 block of Boyd Avenue, on reports that shots had been fired into a house.

No one inside the residence was hurt, and four people were taken into custody, according to police.

Then just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, shots were fired in a home in the 400 block of Toronto Street.

No one was hurt in that incident, but police say there was evidence of an attempted arson.

The Winnipeg Police Service's major crimes unit is investigating.
