Man accused of sexual assault of girl he met on Facebook

A 25-year-old Winnipeg man faces internet luring charges after police were tipped off by Facebook about inappropriate activity involving a 13-year-old girl.
He also faces charges of sexual assault and sexual interference.
The man allegedly contacted the girl on Facebook several times between July 14, 2012 and July 30, 2012. The conversation became sexual and the man convinced the girl to meet him, police said.
It was during the meeting a sexual assault occurred, police added.
Police did not provide any additional details.
