Fires to a handful of garages, as well as a shed and some garbage bins kept crews busy in Winnipeg overnight.

The first call came in just before 11 p.m. Monday for a shed fire in the 600 block of Tyne Avenue, in the Elmwood neighbourhood.

The shed was attached to a business, which also suffered smoke damage. Total damage to both structures is estimated at $50,000.

Then just after 12 a.m. on Tuesday, crews were called to the 500 block of Castle Avenue in Elmwood. A single car garage and carport were burning.

The fire also spread to a neighbouring garage.

Two teenage suspects wearing baseball caps were seen fleeing the area on bicycles, according to police.

Total damage there is estimated at $30,000.

A series of garbage bin fires were also dealt with in the 400 block of Maryland Street, in the West End, and the 100 block of Hallet Avenue in North Point Douglas.

No injuries were reported at any of the fires.
