WRHA warns Filipino workers of phoney job offers

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority has issued a warning that someone is offering phoney job offers to health workers in the Philippines.
"An unauthorized person or agency had been making false offers of employment via email to nurses and other health care workers in the Philippines and asking for about $90 (3,800 Philippine Pesos) for a ‘British English Training Fee’," the WRHA said Monday. "The WRHA wants the public to be aware that these offers are not legitimate."
Prospective employees of the health authority should contact WRHA Human Resources at 926-7084 or go to the Region’s website.
