Three people were hurt in two fires overnight in Winnipeg.

Around 11 p.m. Saturday fire crews responded to a fire at a single-storey home in the 400-block of Seaton Street in Westwood.

Officials said the blaze broke out in a bedroom and sent two occupants to hospital. A woman, 67, was originally listed in critical condition, a man, 43, was listed as unstable. Damage was estimated at $125,000 and the cause of the fire was under investigation by the arson strike force.

About an hour later, a fire was reported on the main floor of a rooming house in the 600 block of Maryland Street.

One man, 53, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Damage is estimated at $60,000.

The three victims were reported to be in stable condition later Sunday.
