People in Winnipeg's aboriginal community are raising money for families of the province's missing and murdered women, the CBC's Tiar Wilson reports.

A handful of musicians are volunteering their time to raise money for families of aboriginal women who have gone missing or have been killed.

The musicians were performing at a fundraiser at Winnipeg's Victoria Inn on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, First Nations leaders continue pushing for a national inquiry into why aboriginal women are vulnerable.

The leaders are holding a "call of action" march and rally through downtown Winnipeg on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. CT at The Forks.

The rally is being hosted by the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, the Southern Chiefs Organization and Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak, an organization representing northern chiefs.
