A Manitoba teen just graduated school with an astounding achievement — 13 years without ever missing a single day of class.
From the day Neil Burnet stepped through the Kindergarten doors at his school in Lundar, he was at every class, every day.
At first he didn't realize it but in Grade 4, when a teacher pointed out he had never had a sick day, Burnet made it his mission to push through and set the amazing mark.
"I just loved going to school, seeing everyone, being around people, seeing teachers and everything," he said.
"It sounds pretty bad but like if I was sick I'd still go. It was way more fun to go to school sick than to stay home."
And now his plans include more school. He wants to attend university in the fall, to become a teacher.
