Man assaulted near Goldeyes ballpark

Police were called to the riverbank near the Goldeyes ballpark in Winnipeg late Monday night. A man was found assaulted in the area, according to police. (Sean Reynolds/CBC)
Parts of Waterfront Drive near the Goldeyes ballpark in Winnipeg were blocked after a man was assaulted.
It happened along the riverbank just before 11 p.m.
The victim was spotted by passersby and by passing police.
He was taken to hospital in stable condition.
So far no one is in custody.
