Winnipeg police are investigating the city's 16th homicide of the year after a man died from injuries sustained in a fight.

The 36-year-old man was found in the 1300 block of Fife Street, suffering from serious upper body injuries, at about 2 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but died on Monday.

Investigators have determined the man was involved in an argument that escalated into a fight.
