Charges laid in death of Leaf Rapids man

Arrests have been made in connection to the slaying of a man in Leaf Rapids on the weekend.
Garfield Baker, 39, died of his injuries after he and two other men were seriously assaulted Saturday. The two other victims are still in hospital.
A man from Leaf Rapids has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
He is set to appear in court on Tuesday.
Another person is in custody and is facing charges, according to RCMP, who noted all of the people involved know each other.
Leaf Rapids is located about 975 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
