House, garage fires cause $122K damage

A fire in a garage and another in a house in Winnipeg caused a total of $122,000 in damages Friday.
Crews were called to a home in the 700 block of Redwood Avenue in the city's North End just before 3:30 a.m.
No one was hurt.
Damage is estimated at $80,000 to the house and $20,000 for the contents.
Then at about 6 a.m., crews were called to a fire in a detached garage on the 100 block of Devonshire Drive in the Transcona neighbourhood.
Damage is estimated at $12,000 to the structure and $10,000 for the contents.
The causes of both fires are under investigation.
