Sudden death probed at Winnipeg hotel

The death of a 49-year-old woman, whose body was found in a downtown hotel, is being investigated by Winnipeg police service's major crimes unit.
Officers were called to the Quest Inn on Ellice Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Monday after the body was located inside a suite.
The death is not considered suspicious, police said, but would not provide further information.
Yellow tape blocked a lane beside the hotel for several hours before it was taken down Tuesday afternoon.
