Winnipeg homicide victim named

The victim in Winnipeg's third homicide of 2012 has been identied as Walter Madonick.
A cause of death has not yet been determined, a police news release stated on Monday.
Madonick was found at about 4 a.m. Sunday when police were called to Simcoe Street and Wellington Avenue in the Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood.
A passerby saw him lying in the front yard of a house on the 600 block of Simcoe Street.
Madonick was taken to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.
Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the homicide unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
