Vandals broke into the Redboine Boating Club in Winnipeg and caused $20,000 in damage to the facility.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Sunday at the clubhouse on Churchill Drive, in the Riverview neighbourhood.

Three male youths, all about 16 years old and wearing dark clothing, were in the area at the time glass was heard breaking, police said.

The clubhouse had extensive damage inside, including smashed windows, doors and electronic items, police said.

Power tools and lawn equipment were also stolen from the premise.
