Alcohol and a lack of seatbelt use are considered factors in a rollover that killed a young person in Manitoba on the weekend.
According to RCMP, the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the Rural Municipality of Argyle, in southwest Manitoba.
There were five occupants in the vehicle — all youths from the Pilot Mound area. One was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, RCMP said.
The other four were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The ages and genders of the youths have not been released.
Police continue to investigate.
No names will be released, police said, adding no further information is available at this time.
