An elderly man was mugged in broad daylight Friday as he got out of his car in Winnipeg's St. Boniface neighbourhood, police said.
The 82-year-old was getting out of his parked vehicle in the 400 block of Des Meurons Street just before 2:15 p.m. CT when he was approached by an unidentified mugger, roughed up and robbed, police said Sunday.
The mugger took the man's cash and other personal property and fled, police said. The victim was not injured and didn't require medical attention. Police did not identify him.
Anyone with information about the mugging is asked to call investigators at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
