Two people have been charged with a variety of drug offences after police searched a home in Winnipeg.
On Nov. 20 at about 10:30 p.m., officers from the organized crime unit along with the tactical support team and east district crime unit executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of Edison Avenue.
The following items were seized:
- 15 ounces of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $15,000.
- 1 kilogram of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $15,000.
- Approximately $15,000 in Canadian currency.
- Assorted drug paraphernalia.
Xiomara Mendoza, 25, and Joarsy Paval De La Rios, 22, have been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre and will appear in court later.
