3 face assault charges in vicious attack

A 19-year-old man is in serious condition in hospital after being badly beaten early Friday in downtown Winnipeg.
Three men were arrested and face assault charges, police said.
They said four men, whose names haven't been disclosed, were drinking together when they got into an argument around 1:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Assiniboine Avenue near Edmonton Street.
The victim was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, police said. He is in serious but stable condition.
