More than 60 people have been charged with gambling offences after raids on three Winnipeg social clubs last week.

Six people are charged with keeping a common gaming house, 57 with being found in a common gaming house and one person faces narcotics trafficking charges.

Winnipeg police and the Manitoba Gaming Commission released information Tuesday about a seven-month investigation dubbed Project Kaleidoscope.

The investigators allege the Barca Club, on McMillan Avenue, the Players Club, on Corydon Avenue, and Shooters Billiards, on Pembina Highway, were running Texas hold 'em poker tournaments.

Police said they found thousands of dollars in cash, poker tables and poker chips.
