Environment Canada said heavy rainfall, funnel clouds and severe thunderstorms were possible for parts of southern Manitoba Saturday.
Late Saturday afternoon, a severe thunderstorm warning was still in effect for:
- Arborg - Hecla - Fisher River - Gypsumville - Ashern
And a rainfall warning was still in effect for:
- Dauphin - Roblin - Winnipegosis
Meanwhile, heavy rain hit Swan River earlier Saturday, which had earlier been included in the rainfall warning.
Some streets in Swan River were flooded as high as the bumper on vehicles, and sewers were inundated with water on the roads.
Environment Canada said the region could see as much at 50mm of rain Saturday. The rain was expected to taper off late in the afternoon.
Funnel clouds were also a possibility for most of southern Manitoba including the Interlake from west of Winnipeg to the border with Saskatchewan.
