The first happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday on the 1900-block of Portage Avenue, in the city's St. James area. A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police said the man and a friend were sitting in a parked vehicle when a man on a bicycle crashed into the car.

When the 44-year-old man went to see if the cyclist was OK, the cyclist stabbed him and rode off.
The suspect is described as about 5-foot-10 and in his early 20s with a slim build and brown hair.  He was wearing a red T-shirt and shorts, was riding a silver mountain bike and was carrying two spare bicycle tires.
