A warning for drivers if they're heading out on the highways today: roads are icy, slushy and snow-covered throughout much of the southern part of the province.

A snowfall warning was in effect for parts of western Manitoba including Grand Rapids, The Pas and Swan River, but it has been lifted.

Southern Manitoba is looking at some flurries Saturday with gusty winds, but the region is not likely to get any snow that will stick around.

Highway conditions can change at any time and drivers are reminded to check the provincial highway updates before hitting the road.
