Winnipeg police are searching for suspects after a shooting sent a man to hospital late Saturday night.

Police say there were called to Boyd Avenue and Parr Street around 8:10 p.m. The blocks are located right off Arlington Street.

Multiple neighbours tell CBC they saw a man who was shot in the leg lying on the ground at the end of a back lane.

"He wasn't saying anything. He was just kind of laying there," said Jodi Anderson, who lives across the street.

Forensic investigators were taking photos of the scene when CBC arrived.

A Winnipeg police spokesperson said Sunday morning that no arrests had been made.

The man was in stable condition, police said.
