Severe thunderstorm warning issued for western Manitoba

Parts of western Manitoba are under a severe thunderstorm warning Tuesday afternoon, Environment Canada said.

Parts of western Manitoba are still under a severe thunderstorm warning Tuesday afternoon, Environment Canada said.

A stationary band of thunderstorms were forecast to drop heavy rain over Riding Mountain National Park and the R.M. of Rosedale, including Eden and Kelwood.

The storms could produce in excess of 50 millimetres of rain.

Environment Canada issued the warning shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
