The City of Winnipeg has reopened the Seven Oaks Pool on Wednesday, two days after a "major fouling" shut down the swimming facility.
The pool on 444 Adsum Drive was abruptly closed on Monday afternoon as a result of what the city described as a "major fouling incident."
A spokesperson described the incident as a 10, on a scale between one and 10.
The facility was closed while staff thoroughly cleaned the pool — including its filtration system — and have the water tested by a laboratory to ensure fecal matter was no longer present.
Those water tests have indicated the pool is safe for reopening, the city said in a release Wednesday.
