Senior charged in crash that killed worker
A criminal charge has been been laid against a senior citizen in connection to a Manitoba crash that killed a young construction worker last fall.
Brittany Murray, 21, died Oct. 18 after being hit while working in a construction zone as a signal person on Highway 207 between the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 15.
RCMP said a 68-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of Springfield was arrested Sunday and served with a summons he'll face a charge of dangerous driving causing death.
He will appear in court on April 12 in Beausejour.
Police revealed nothing else about the case Monday. Investigators said at the time of the crash that alcohol was not a factor.
