Scream alerts Winnipeg police to carjacking

An attempted carjacking was halted in progress when Winnipeg police heard a woman screaming.

An attempted carjacking was halted in progress when Winnipeg police heard a woman screaming.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Monday night.

Officers nearby heard the screams and rushed to the scene near Main Street and Euclid Avenue in the city's North End.

A man, who was trying to force a woman out of her vehicle, was arrested.

The woman wasn't hurt.
