RCMP are investigating after a school bus flipped onto its side near St. Pierre-Jolys, Man., Friday morning.

The accident happened just before 9 a.m. on Highway 205, when a school bus hit a guardrail and rolled into the ditch near the Rat River bridge, just west of St. Pierre.

The Red River Valley School Division bus was empty except for the 26-year-old driver, who was taken to the De Salaberry District Health Centre with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP do not believe speed, alcohol or visibility contributed to the crash, and officers continue to investigate.
