With Winnipeggers set to elect a new mayor this fall, outgoing Mayor Sam Katz spoke to Marcy Markusa of CBC's Information Radio about his time in office and his decision not to seek re-election.

Katz announced on Friday that he will not go after the mayor's job again in the Oct. 22 civic election, saying it's the best decision for his family.

On Monday, almost 10 years to the day after Katz first took the oath of office, the mayor reflected on the past decade.
