The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) is looking into an incident at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport where two planes could have collided on Monday.

The planes did not collide, but it was a close enough call that the TSB is deploying a team to investigate because a landing aircraft had to go around another one on the runway area, according to a release from TSB.

The TSB website states the risk of collisions on runways is one of the nine safety issues identified as posing the greatest risk to Canadians.
