RCMP seize booze from plane in dry First Nation
Charges laid against two men following alcohol seizure in Little Grand Rapids
RCMP have laid charges against two people after they uncovered alcohol being smuggled into a dry First Nation.
On May 3, officers seized several cases of beer and whiskey from a plane that had just landed in Little Grand Rapids.
RCMP said they believe the alcohol was intended to be sold in the community, which is a dry reserve.
Now, a 50-year-old man and a 56-year-old man are facing multiple charges in connection with the seizure.
Both were given tickets worth over $1,200.
