The RCMP are looking for witnesses after a serious crash on the north Perimeter Highway on the edge of Winnipeg Friday night.

According to police, a white Dodge Stealth collided with a semi-trailer unit at about 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of the Perimeter and Lagimodiere Boulevard.

A 29-year-old female passenger in the Stealth was injured in the crash. She is still in hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

The 20-year-old female driver of the car has been charged with impaired driving. Police said she ran a red light.

Another passenger in the car, also a female, was in the back seat and was treated in hospital for her injuries and released.
