RCMP recover body of 21-year-old Rock Lake drowning victim
The man fell into the waters of the southwest Manitoba lake last Friday, RCMP say
Killarney RCMP have recovered the body of a man who drowned in Rock Lake on Friday.
Police said the 21-year-old from Winkler was fishing with two others at the southwest Manitoba lake when he fell into the water sometime around 7 p.m.
The two other men tried to help but he never resurfaced.
Police found the man’s body where they suspect he fell in.
The men were not wearing life jackets at the time of the incident.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place in Winnipeg while the investigation continues.
