Manitoba Conservatives are gathering in Brandon this weekend for the party's annual general meeting.
Brian Pallister, conservative MLA for Fort Whyte and Manitoba Progressive Conservative Leader, says the group will be unveiling a platform and debating strategies. He suspects Provincial Sales Tax (PST) to be top of mind for most members.
"I'm not trying to be preachy here but I do think that a lot of people want us to make sure that we have committed to the policy of reducing the PST," Pallister said.
He says the meeting is a chance for the party to talk policy.
"What I'm really excited about is the process to let Manitobans get involved. We want to include Manitobans," said Pallister. "That is something our current government is not doing. They're excluding, quite frankly. Even going so far as to take away the right for Manitobans to vote on their own taxes."
The meeting runs throughout the weekend.
