Potato truck crashes into Carberry garage

A potato truck driver is in hospital after his vehicle slammed into a garage in Carberry, Man., early this morning.

A potato truck driver is in hospital after his vehicle slammed into a garage in Carberry, Man., early this morning.

RCMP say emergency crews were called shortly before 7:30 a.m. Monday to Wellwood Rood and First Street.

According to police, it appears that a tri-axle potato truck had collided into the R.D. Ramsey Ltd. garage,

The 28-year-old driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in Carberry with undetermined injuries, RCMP stated in a release.

Damage to the garage is considered to be extensive, but RCMP did not provide an estimate.
