RCMP say there's been an alarming increase in the theft of snowmobiles and ATVs in the Interlake.
They have set up a tip line so people can call in with information.
Sargent Line Karpish said over the winter, 43 snowmobiles were stolen, compared to 14 last year.
And now that summer has arrived, 23 ATVs have already been stolen, mostly from the Interlake region.
Karpish said the thefts could be connected.
"Looking at the evidence as a whole, you know, it certainly makes us believe that these people are fairly organized or people that … are working together as a group," she said.
Karpish is warning owners not to leave the keys unattended in their ATVs, and in a warning to on-line shoppers: beware of potentially stolen vehicles.
"Make sure you do your due diligence before you commit to purchasing any off-road vehicles on-line," she said. "Because right now there are a lot of them floating around that are stolen."
If you have any information about the thefts you can contact the RCMP auto theft tip line at 1-855-814-4118, or email police at Skidtips@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
