Winnipeg police are on the hunt for a man who tried to sexually assault a teenager in East Kildonan Wednesday morning.

Police said a 19-year-old woman was walking near Louelda Street and Consol Avenue just after 9:30 a.m. when a stranger grabbed her by the hair.

The man tried to sexually assault the woman, who was able to push him away. The man fled towards Concordia Avenue, according to police.

Police are now looking for a man in his early twenties between six feet and six-foot-two. At the time of the attack he was wearing a bright blue hoodie with yellow and white squares, jeans, runners, white sunglasses and a baseball hat.
