Winnipeg police need the public's help in identifying a woman who robbed a restaurant in Winnipeg's Elmwood neighbourhood.

It happened back in May, just after 1 a.m. in the 200 block of Henderson Highway. The woman went in and confronted a male employee at the counter, demanding money while suggesting she was armed with a gun, according to police.

She ran off after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

The woman is described as being between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-6 with a heavy build and long dark hair.
